Background: Kailash Parbat has long been one of Bombay's legendary Vegetarian restaurant brands serving amongst other things authentic Sindhi cuisine. The Oriental Group of restaurants brings this brand to Chennai above its immensely popular Patisserie, French Loaf on Harrington Road.
My Quicktake: The first thing that strikes you about this restaurant is that it is one busy place. Its just a few days old and half the city is trying to jostle for a table in this restaurant. So be prepared to wait for a table (Part of the restaurant's Bombay experience!!) for a while and once you are in the service is efficient and lightning quick. Don't give them your entire order upfront or you might find all the food delivered on your table in one shot! The food's terrific but save this restaurant for your binge day and leave your calorie counter at home before you step in to this place. Because once you are here you may as well go the whole hog and hog!! You can choose from super chaats and authentic Sindhi 'Khaana' ranging from 'Koki' to the Sindhi Curry & Chawal. There are heaps of beverage and dessert options too. The restaurant scores admirably on the VFM (Value-for-Money) front too
Meal for two: Rs 400 (Approx).
Coordinates: 9, Harrington Road (Above French Loaf, Near Lady Andal School), Chennai 31 / Phone no: 4351-0601 / Google Maps Location
Signature Dishes: Cheese Channa Bhatoora, Chaat Platter, Sindhi Curry, Koki
Open: 11 am to 11 pm
Will I go there again: Yes

whoa! gets me tempted as usual! I'll check it out sometime.
Got a few people coming down from the US and hence, a few upcoming treats :P
Do let me know when you're planning to review a restaurant next time.
Cheese Bhatura? Serious? Whoa!
Btw, jus a suggestion - how about including info on whether the restaurant accepts sodexos? Thats actually very useful info for some of us...unfortunately, very few reviews capture that :(
Sodexos - Thats a good suggestion. Will try and map that in future reviews
