Why you might want to watch it:
- Actor Sasikumar returns after Subramaniapuram
- Director Samuthirakani returns after making an impact as an actor in Subramaniapuram
- Another film set in Small Town Southern Tamil Nadu; Sure Shot success formula?
The Good: Casting and performances, Visuals
The Bad: Songs (Although the background music makes an impact), plot sags in parts in the second half
Look out for: Ganja Karuppu who is in his element in the local Tea Shop (Where else?!)
Bottomline: Any film that involves Sasikumar sets expectations soaring. He hit the bulls eye as actor-director in Subramniapuram and I still think his production Pasanga is the best film of 2009. Nadodigal is the story of the great bonding and friendship between Karunakaran (Sasikumar), Pandi (Bharani) and Chandran (Vijay). The similarity with Subramaniapuram ends there. Each of them is on the verge of realising their life's ambitions when Saravanan, Karunakaran's buddy from school and a son of a powerful politician makes a sudden appearance. The three of them decide to help him marry his lover Prabha against all odds. Its the against all odds bit that is really stretched; all three of them see their lives turn upside down in the process of helping Saravanan and what follows are a series of interesting twists in the plot. And while we may have all grown up watching films that time and again show friends going to great lengths to make love stories work, this film really stretches that theory. Nadodigal has its positives; the casting is spot on - Sasikumar and the lead cast are perfect, the film is entertaining and funny in most parts. The downsides include forgettable songs and a second half that can use a lot of trimming. Nadodigal is worth a watch but is certainly not in the same orbit as Subramaniapuram!

Subramaniapuram was a great movie. The plot, the screenplay and the characters exactly fell into place!
I haven't seen this one yet. Looks like it's worth a watch.
One of the best movies i have seen.. Sasi kumar.. you rock... Long live to produce good films like this amidst crap movies that are released everyday with lots of so called great actors..
