Background: Azulia is GRT Grand's showpiece Mediterranean restaurant which brings together the finest of Turkish, Lebanese, Greek, Moroccan and Italian cuisine. The restaurant was fronted by their immensely talented and friendly Lebanese Chef Joseph Chanine during the launch phase and the baton has passed to Ethem Aydemir, a Turkish master chef.
My Quicktake: Azulia is easily one of Chennai's finest restaurants. The staff are warm & efficient, the tableware is edgy & contemporary and the food is terrific. The menu is extensive and there are no shortcuts with any of the recipes or ingredients. The starters/Mezze platters are outstanding and are the perfect way to start your Mediterranean culinary tour. The portions are generous; Azulia is certainly not the place to count your calories! And with a Turkish chef at the helm, high-quality, juicy Baklava is a given!
