ID - Idli & Dosa Review

Cuisine: South Indian  (Snacks and Light Bites)

Background: Nestled inside Sathyam Cinemas is its latest culinary diversion ID (Idli & Dosa). ID is part of Sathyam's vision to set high standards for its F&B offerings within the multiplex and follows the success of Ecstasy which has already raised the bar for exotic desserts in Chennai.

My Quicktake: Contemporary Interiors, Top of the line crockery and cutlery and efficient service come together in this diner that serves yummy dosas, idlis and a host of South Indian snacks. While there are no compromises on the overall offering, the price points are surprisingly affordable and compare favourably with most idli dosa joints in the city of Idli Dosa joints.  ID works because it creates a refreshingly new setting for food we are all so familiar with and is the perfect place for a snack or a meal anytime you are in Sathyam. Having said that avoid trying to club it with a movie if you are planning your meal before the movie. Its a parking nightmare; On most days they do not open the parking till 15 or 20 minutes before the movie. Works best if you stay after the movie or if you are going to Sathyam Cinemas just to dine at ID.

Meal for two: Rs 150-200.
